Maya Roux

Posted by Claire Berenblum on

Maya Roux is a visual artist and a journalist based in Paris, France. Her paintings are a mix between oil on canvas created over a long drying process and specific series using faster techniques such as water color, acrylic or collages. For her piece  titled Hen, Maya spent a month in a chicken coop sketching what she describes as five very friendly and happy chickens. Maya strives to have her drawings disappear and be understood from contextual clues, calling  the viewer's attention to colors, imbedded energy, texture and light.
