Collyer's Mansion Collection + Leigh Forsstrom is a line of colorful fabric and textiles created with Brooklyn-based artist Leigh Forsstrom. Since graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in textile design in 2007, Leigh Forsstrom has worked at a silk mill in India, designed rugs and and printed textiles in New York, and makes one-of-a-kind ceramics out of a dingy basement studio. She is inspired by the expressive appliqués of third-century Chinese funerary urns, the shapes of plants she sketches while hiking, the language of Jacobean floral designs, and the whimsical quality of landscapes from anime films.
