Full Time Position


The role of store manager is about building relationships, listening to our customers, identifying their needs (or wants!), and helping
them fulfill them. It also includes buying, merchandising, and general operations. Success in this role is sales, happy customers,
and returning customers as well as a beautiful shop that operates seamlessly.


● Connect with & help customers in the shop, over the phone, or via email
● Be educated about the product, know where to find the information you need when you need it, and convey this
information to the customer in a clear and confident manner. This includes price quotes for furniture, lead times &
ETA’s, appropriate shipping and delivery options, stock availability, and more.
● Know the breadth of the inventory we have so that you can offer additional options and quantities not featured on the floor
● Manage cash drawer & Conduct all transactions through POS - including sales, returns, exchanges, and gift cards
● Managing & Familiarity with Receiving Inventory - which includes creating skus, pricing inventory, creating online product
pages, and stickering product
● Merchandise the shop in an artful way & in accordance with CM merchandising principles
● Function as Buyer - work with owner to maintain stock levels on staple inventory and present customer requests or call
outs as well as suggestions for new product, create floor plans & put together fabrics and furniture for the seasons ahead,
place orders for all made to order furniture for customers & stock for floor
● Schedule furniture deliveries with designated delivery services & customers
● Maintain an organized and tidy stockroom
● Manage the Fulfilment of online orders from the shop with pickups from UPS and USPS
● Manage Email Account
● Execute Opening, Throughout the Day, and Closing Procedures

Preferred Experience:

● Operating or Managing a Furniture Store or Showroom that focuses on upholstery
● Working in a Design Firm that focuses on Residential Design
● Working in or Managing a Fabric or Wallcovering Showroom
● Education or some previous training or experience in Interior Design
