In a medieval town in Umbria, this artisanal candle maker specializes in handcrafting the distinctive candle style “duplero,” meaning double. These sinuous double-helix candles have been produced in Italy for centuries and Collepino still hand-dips each candle, using techniques that date back to the Renaissance. Composed of 100% pure, natural beeswax, the candles’ color, ranging from bright amber to deep ochre, and sweet, subtle scent change with every seasonal production, in harmony with the pollen of wild-harvested beeswax. Dual hemp wicks produce a dramatic flame, with burning times of 1-4 hours depending on candle size.

Sold as one individual candle. Each piece is handmade

Care: Keep away from flammable materials and burn in a well ventilated space. As the hemp wicks are untreated, the flame burns large. Be sure to trim the wick before each use to prolong burning time and minimize flame size. Extinguish with a wick snuffer if possible.
